The Powell Avenue Bridge will be out of service beginning August 14 as the City and Wisconsin Department of Transportation begin repairs. The maintenance being performed will ensure the continued safety of drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists on the bridge. The work is expected to be completed by the start of winter.
A portage route will be defined using fencing on the east bank to provide safety for river users.
