[ARCHIVED] Congratulations to the 2021 Firefighter of the Year: Jason "Sammy" Sammon

Congratulations to the 2021 firefighter of the year - Jason Sammon - known as Sammy to his fellow firefighters.   Sammy is a 26-year member of the department and is one of the top call responders Three years ago, Sammy was appointed as Health & Safety Officer.   Since then, Sammy has initiated procedures and training to enhance the health and welfare of our firefighters.   Sammy is always willing to take the time to answer questions and work with new recruits that are in training.   Besides Safety Officer, Sammy fills many other roles such as Incident Commander on scenes, driver for any of the department's trucks, and is a very knowledgeable pump operator.  The Moody family, sponsors of the award, and the rest of the membership are pleased congratulate Jason Sammon as the 2021 firefighter of the year.
