Due to the extreme temperatures and wind chill warning forecast for this this week, the Hoffman Park Storm Shelter will be open for those in need of shelter. The building will be open 24/7 from Monday, January 28, at 3 p.m. through Friday, February 1, at noon.
Chairs, tables, restrooms, a refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen counter with sink are available for use. The River Falls Taxi will be free for riders traveling to and from the shelter. Call (715) 425-7878 to schedule a ride. Taxi hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The shelter is located at 650 Hanson Drive.
