Activity Guide

Registration Dates

2026 online registration will open on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 9 a.m.. If you need assistance, in-person registration (walk-in) begins two days later.

Ways to Register 

• Please REGISTER ONLINE at riverfalls.activityreg.com 
• Mail the registration form to City Hall with your payment. It is advisable to check for availability online first.
• Drop off the registration form at City Hall with your payment. Please check for availability online first. There is a drop box in the parking lot.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash, or check. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Recreation Gift Certificates

River Falls Parks and Recreation gift certificates can be used toward any recreation program that is instructed by City of River Falls staff. Gift certificate balances are non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash or credit on account. Lost or stolen certificates will not be replaced. *Gift certificates can only be purchased and redeemed in person at City Hall. 

Residency

A RESIDENT is any person who lives or owns property within the corporate city limits of River Falls and receives a property tax bill from the City. (Not to be confused with a school district resident.) A NON-RESIDENT is anyone who lives outside the city limits, for example in the town of River Falls, Troy, Clifton, Kinnickinnic, or in other cities. Only City residents pay property taxes that go toward City parks and City recreation programming.

Deadline

We want to be prepared for your child! In order for us to have adequate staffing and supplies, please register by the deadline, or at least three business days before a program begins. Some activities fill up before the deadline.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be made at least three business days before an activity begins. You may cancel most activities online if it is at least two weeks before the activity begins. If it is closer than that, contact the Parks & Rec office to cancel. Team sports require more advance notice due to teams/shirts/schedules. There is a $10 cancellation fee to cover our administrative and processing costs. Parks and Rec will refund the entire program fee if a program is canceled for insufficient enrollment. If your cancellation causes the program number to fall below the required minimum, your refund will be contingent upon the vacancy being filled. No refunds will be given after the program begins. We are only able to return funds to your card up to six months after the purchase date; after that time the refund will be a check. Weather cancellations: please check your email. We make every effort to make-up missed activities, but it is sometimes not possible in the case of multiple rain-outs.

Scholarships

The River Falls Parks and Recreation Department believes in providing services and programs to all who wish to participate, regardless of financial status. Applicants must live in the City of River Falls. Our scholarship program is made possible by the generosity of local businesses and community groups. Approval will be granted based on availability of funds and activity availability. Please mail/drop off the Scholarship Request Form and required documentation at City Hall and you will be contacted.

Sponsorships

Parks and Recreation gives local businesses and organizations the opportunity to sponsor a team, activity, or other recreational offerings. Sponsorship is a great way to market your business or organization! Please contact us for more information.

Say Cheese!

Photos may be taken of participants. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please notify the photographer and/or class instructor. Photos may be used in future publications, Facebook, and/or websites.
