The Kinni Corridor Project invites the public to participate in a four-day community design workshop (“charrette”) from Wednesday, Oct. 25-Saturday, Oct. 28. The charrette offers open studio times when community members can meet with urban, landscape, and waterfront designers as well as engineers and other technical experts to share thoughts and ideas about the future of the river corridor. In addition, residents are encouraged to participate in three evening workshop/presentations. The design concepts developed at the charrette will inform the City Council’s Feb. 27, 2018, decision to relicense or surrender the City’s hydroelectric facilities. See (or click "more details") for the complete public schedule. The charrette web page also includes lots of background about the project and a “what to expect” video.
